These Website Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the Site. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
The Site provides public information about the research mentoring offered by Dr. I-Chen Tsai, free educational articles, and answers to common questions. Enrollment is not open yet. The Site does not offer accounts, sign-in or purchases. Joining the waitlist to be told when enrollment opens is optional; our Privacy Policy explains how that information is handled. When enrollment opens, separate terms for the mentoring service will be presented to you before you enroll.
The content on the Site is provided for general educational purposes about research methods, writing and publication. It is not medical advice and does not create a physician–patient relationship. It is also not legal, regulatory or research ethics advice. The answers reflect experience and opinion, not rules: your target journal's instructions and your institution's ethics review and policies always come first. Nothing on the Site promises that a manuscript will be accepted or that any other particular result will follow.
Do not send us, by email or any other means, any information that identifies a patient, such as names, medical record numbers, dates of birth, exact dates of service, or images that show identifiers. The Site and our email are not designed to receive protected health information. If you write to us about a study, include only de-identified or aggregate information, and follow your institution's rules.
The Site and its content, including text, articles, graphics and design, are owned by InnovaRad or by Dr. I-Chen Tsai and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may view, download and print pages of the Site for your own personal, non-commercial use, and you are welcome to link to any page. Short quotations with attribution and a link to the source page are fine to the extent the law allows. Otherwise, you may not reproduce, distribute, publicly display, modify, sell or create derivative works from the content without our prior written permission. You may not use the InnovaRad name or Dr. Tsai's name in a way that suggests endorsement without our permission.

The Site links to websites that we do not control, such as the original articles on InnovaRad's public Q&A pages, journal websites and online calculators. We provide these links for convenience. We are not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of those websites, and a link does not mean that we endorse them. Your use of another website is governed by that website's own terms.
THE SITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. We work to keep the content accurate and up to date, but research methods, journal policies and tools change, and we do not warrant that the content is complete, current or free of errors, or that the Site will be uninterrupted or free of harmful components.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INNOVARAD AND DR. TSAI WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, OPPORTUNITY OR PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SITE OR ITS CONTENT. BECAUSE THE SITE IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS (USD 100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranties or damages to be excluded or limited, so some of the above may not apply to you. These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to them or to the Site are governed by the laws of Taiwan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The Taiwan Taipei District Court will be the court of first instance for any such dispute, except where the law of the place where you live gives you a right to bring a claim in your local courts that cannot be waived by contract.
Before bringing a claim, please email us at ichentsai.tw@gmail.com and describe the issue, so that we can try to resolve it informally. If it is not resolved within 30 days, either side may proceed as described above.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date at the top. If a change is material, we will also note it prominently on the Site. Updated Terms apply from the date they are posted; if you continue to use the Site after that date, the updated Terms apply to your use.
If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce any part of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site. They are available in English and in a translated version; if the two differ, the English version controls.
